Fearful of losing subsidies, mayors identify waste collection as a source of income

Puerto Rico’s economic crisis and the imposition of the Oversight Board (OB) have revived the idea of municipalities charging for waste collection in residential areas. Certain mayors are already talking about the possibility of implementing this in all 78 municipalities.
