Interim President Nivia Fernández doesn’t foresee large cutbacks, or reductions to those that have already been outlined

The fiscal plan designed by the administration of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR)—which contemplates an income-based tuition fee and the consolidation of academic programs, as well as other cutbacks—cannot be reversed, according to statements issued yesterday by the institution’s interim president, Nivia Fernández.
