San Cristóbal Castle

Begin your adventure at San Cristóbal Castle, which you'll reach by Uber or taxi. This historic building practically marks the entrance to Old San Juan. Touring it can take about two hours. From its highest point, you'll enjoy an impressive view of the Atlantic Ocean, La Perla neighborhood, as well as the walled city and the Port of San Juan, where cruise ships make their stops. Remember what Benito said: "Take more photos," so prepare for selfies and reels.

Historic walk to El Morro

From San Cristóbal Castle, you can walk to San Felipe del Morro Castle. The distance is about 15 minutes. Remember to dress light and stay hydrated. Puerto Rico's summer heat is imposing even for island residents. This walk is short if you take Norzagaray Street, where you can continue enjoying the ocean landscape, or reach San Sebastián Alley which runs parallel, allowing you to stop at food and drink establishments.

Lunch among cobblestones

It's time to eat and drink something. After this experience, venture into the streets of Old San Juan. You can do so from San Sebastián Street and go down Cristo Street, with food and drink establishments, San José Cathedral, and at the end, Cristo Chapel, where Bad Bunny recorded a video for "MIA" with Jimmy Fallon. Nearby is the historic Fortaleza Street, with more restaurants, bars with cocktails and craft beers, and craft shops. You can continue walking to enjoy more charms of the city, such as the Quinto Centenario Plaza, Ballajá Barracks, Plaza de Armas, San Juan Gate, La Rogativa and Paseo de la Princesa.

residency

Get ready for the residency

Get ready to go to the concert. Continue to dress comfortably and cool, but also bring something to keep you warm. You will realize that, although you feel like you are roasting in the summer heat outdoors, in Puerto Rico, enclosed venues like the "Choliseo" are known for having the air conditioning at a temperature that can be colder than what many people find comfortable.

Arrive on time

Try to arrive at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico early. The traffic around the Coliseo de Puerto Rico will definitely be complicated. Take an Uber or taxi. Enjoy the atmosphere in the hallways inside the venue before the show. If you are late and did not have time to eat before, you will find quick and varied options there, as well as bars with all kinds of drinks.

Post-concert party night

You left the "Choli" with your adrenaline pumping, so you want to keep partying. Miramar and Condado are the best options to visit bars and clubs that will be open late, ready to receive the crowd coming from the Bad Bunny concerts. It is also very likely that for the dates of the residency, more events will be created in tune with the atmosphere created by this event; it is a matter of keeping an eye on social media.

Beach to end on a high note

You have 12 hours left in Puerto Rico and you are not going to waste them. Calculate the time to get to the airport and catch your flight back, while you put on your swimsuit. The public beach in Carolina is the closest to Santurce and the hotel zone of Condado and Isla Verde. A taxi or Uber can take you there. Piñones is another nearby area with small beaches and food and drink kiosks. La Pocita de Piñones is a pool created by a natural coral barrier that is very safe for everyone. Remember that the waters that bathe the coast in this entire area belong to the Atlantic Ocean, whose waves, as well as underwater currents, can be strong even during the summer, a season in which they are usually calmer. Check the apps related to sea conditions.

Culture or shopping? You choose

Your skin is telling you it's time to find an indoor activity. You have several options for spending your remaining hours. If you enjoy cultural attractions, you can visit in Santurce/Miramar the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico (MAPR), the Museum of Contemporary Art (MACPR) or the Museum of Art and Design of Miramar (MADMi). If you prefer shopping, you can go to Plaza Las Américas, the largest shopping center in the Caribbean, located in Hato Rey, or to The Mall of San Juan, which is closer to Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (LMM).
