The fight for the collections on the Puerto Rico Sales and Use Tax (IVU, by its Spanish acronym) officially began yesterday, when several investment funds sued the government in order to prevent those collections from being sent to the Puerto Rico Sales Tax Financing Corporation (COFINA, by its Spanish acronym).
