Mediators with the objective to renegotiate debt

If agreements that allow creditors to vote in favor of a debt cut are reached, Puerto Rico would advance in the reorganization of public finances

The team of mediators appointed by federal district judge Laura Taylor Swain with the expectation of reaching consensual agreements between Puerto Rico and its various creditor groups has set itself the objective of producing the debt adjustment plans that would take the Island out of the bankruptcy process established through the federal Promesa Law for next year.
