The new requirements for release are contained in Regulation 9603, approved on September 25. (Jorge A. Ramírez Portela)

Relatives of inmates who have applied for release from prison through the Puerto Rico Parole Board (JLBP) denounced as “unfair” and “very punitive” a new requirement that the petitioner’s proposed residence be located 30 miles or less from the home of the aggrieved party, which they believe excludes many families without economic resources.
