Puerto Rico has the potential to reduce its electricity consumption by more than 30% within the next 15 years, but achieving that goal — established under the 2019 Energy Public Policy Act — will depend on significantly increasing investment in programs that promote efficiency in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, according to a study commissioned by the Energy Bureau (NEPR).
