prima:The government asks judge Laura Taylor Swain not to intervene in LUMA dispute

The administration of Governor Jenniffer González argued before Swain that disputes against the electric grid operator must be heard in Puerto Rico’s courts

The Public-Private Partnerships Authority asked federal judge Laura Taylor Swain not to intervene in the procedural dispute filed by LUMA Energy, since the lawsuit is a move by the electric operator to "evade" the non-compliance of its responsibilities. (Josian Bruno Gómez)

The government has asked federal district judge Laura Taylor Swain to refrain from intervening in the legal dispute LUMA Energy has filed because the Public-Private Partnerships Authority (PPPA) has sovereign immunity and because the electric grid operator’s claims would have no substantive effect on the Electric Power Authority’s (PREPA) bankruptcy proceedings.
