At a time when many manufacturing companies are seeking to expand their presence in Puerto Rico, some controlled foreign corporations (CFCs) with a presence on the island are weighing their options to mitigate the payment of the Global Minimum Tax (GMT) to their parent companies, acknowledged Sebastián Negrón Reichard, secretary of the Department of Economic Development and Commerce (DDEC).
