The Government has settled on a mediator to “privately” negotiate with bondholders
The Government has abandoned its request to the federal court to authorize mediation with different groups of Puerto Rico’s bondholders. With the Oversight Board’s (OB) approval, the Government will launch a “private” and “confidential” process to address the claims made by different groups of creditors who claim the Government has illegally issued debt.
