Washington D.C. - The 73rd anniversary of the Commonwealth Constitution—which coincides with the 127th anniversary of the US invasion—comes at a time when Puerto Rico is under a federal financial oversight board that has controlled the fiscal decisions of the elected government for almost a decade, with the status debate stalled and the majority of the New Progressive Party (PNP) in the Legislature uninterested in reforming it.
