The federal Education Department releases billions to help boost quick and safe school openings in Puerto Rico
U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, expects federal education pandemic relief funds for Puerto Rico’s schools to translate into better infrastructure, especially, in schools in the southern region, more access to devices that complement teaching, better broadband internet service, and more social and emotional support for students who, since 2017, have survived hurricanes, earthquakes, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
