A new report on the aquaculture industry in Puerto Rico revealed a lack of standardization among permits, infrastructure, and financial aid. Furthermore, in light of the deterioration of coral reefs, pressure on fisheries, and the challenges of developing marine aquaculture, local environmental organizations are using their research to strengthen coastal communities.
