LUMA Energy, supposedly, incurred extraordinary expenses totaling nearly $4.7 million in connection with Hurricane Erin, a tropical cyclone that passed over 150 miles north of Puerto Rico between August 16 and 17, according to a request to the Puerto Rico Energy Bureau (PREB) to draw on the $15 million emergency reserve established for this fiscal year.
