In an effort to strengthen environmental surveillance and provide accessible information to the public, the Department of Environmental Health of the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus (UPR) acquired 30 sensors to measure key parameters such as the Air Quality Index, temperature, and particulate matter, as part of a pilot initiative that could eventually impact all 78 municipalities.
