Based on an evaluation of similar tools available in several U.S. jurisdictions and 21 Latin American and European countries, Alianza Vivo (Vivo Alliance), a non-governmental organization supporting victims of sexual violence, identified “deficiencies” in the legal process to which crime survivors must submit in Puerto Rico and developed a new Victims’ Bill of Rights, extending an urgent call for its consideration and approval.
