Osvaldo Carlo Linares, president of the office in charge of the bidding process that resulted in the contracting of Power Expectations, argued before the Financial Oversight and Management Board (FOMB) that complying with its directive to proceed with the annulment of the controversial electricity generation agreement would constitute a violation of the company’s rights, in a letter in which he also alluded to possible conflicts of interest on the part of the agency that oversees public finances.
