The commissioners of the Puerto Rico Energy Bureau (PREB) on Thursday defended the conditions they have outlined to authorize Genera PR to proceed with multiple conversions of generating units to the use of natural gas, in the face of recent claims by the private operator and Governor Jenniffer González, who have alleged that the modifications would produce savings amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars annually.
