UN Experts Ask for Authorization to Visit Puerto Rico

WASHINGTON – The UN’s expert on foreign debt has asked the United States to authorize an official visit to Puerto Rico to conduct an on-site inspection of the fiscal crisis, which he warned must be resolved with a significant cut to the public debt, and without any austerity measures that would limit human rights.
