Washington – Despite efforts to bring the measure to a vote this week, U.S. House Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) said yesterday that he has not yet examined H.R. 8393, seeking to call for a federal plebiscite in Puerto Rico between statehood, free association, and independence.
