On July 2, in a cold room at the Arecibo Judicial Center, Norberto Montalvo, a retired school counselor from Camuy, finally saw the light after many arduous struggles: after more than ten years of struggling to get treatment for his 38-year-old son Yeriel, who is mentally ill and addicted to drugs, a judge ordered the Administration of Mental Health and Addiction Services (Assmca) to find a place to house and care for him.
