The departure of Francisco Domenech as Chief of Staff and executive director of the Financial Advisory and Fiscal Agency Authority (AAFAF), as well as that of Itza García as undersecretary, brings to a close a tumultuous chapter that has been brewing since the beginning of this administration. The outcome came after months of confrontations that went beyond the political realm. And once again, a poorly managed crisis—marked by the inexplicable stubbornness of its key figures—ended up diverting attention from the urgent issues that truly weigh heavily on Puerto Ricans.
