At a time when the number of adults living with obesity is projected to increase by more than 115% between 2010 and 2030 worldwide, in Puerto Rico it is estimated that seven out of 10 people are overweight or obese to some degree, and the most affected age group is 65 years and older, a challenge that adds to the aging population process facing the archipelago.
