The House of Representatives is expected to consider a continuing resolution to keep the federal government funded and avoid a partial government shutdown in October, at a time when expectations are declining that the Republican majority will advance this year the reauthorization of Medicaid funding in Puerto Rico, which largely finances the Vital health plan.
