The Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC) set aside nearly $500,000 from its budget to pay the salaries of federal employees working in the El Yunque National Park and the San Felipe del Morro and San Cristobal castles, which will enable their respective reopenings while Congress and President Donald Trump remain locked in a budget impasse that has kept the U.S. government partially shut down since the beginning of the month.
