In the coming weeks, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will assume a greater role in electric infrastructure projects if plans by the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) and the Energy Czar, Josué Colón, for the agency to manage works in both the generation and transmission and distribution components, in light of 10-year agreements signed with the public corporation in February.
