In arguing that New Fortress Energy (NFE) is holding Puerto Rico “hostage” with its refusal to deliver liquefied natural gas (LNG), Governor Jenniffer González hinted on Thursday that U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) might exercise its authority not only to resume supply but also to resolve, in the long term, the issue of alternative suppliers’ access to the San Juan Bay.
