The sudden removal of Daniel Fernández as bishop of Arecibo, ordered by Pope Francis two months ago, highlights the dilemma in which the Catholic Church finds itself in the face of the Vatican’s call to be inclusive and act collegially, while a sector of the church at the global level resists implementing the reforms of the Holy See.
