In the coming weeks, the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DRNA, in Spanish) expects to prohibit, through an administrative order, the operation of jet-skis in Salinas Bay, considered the area with the highest concentration of manatees in Puerto Rico and where, at the beginning of August, an adult individual of this species was found dead as a result of the impact of the propeller of a motorboat.
