The recently released findings of a market study commissioned by the Department of Health, which reveal that, in Puerto Rico, an increasing proportion of patients are turning to the use of medicinal cannabis as a response to mental health conditions, transcend at a time when the scientific community is raising flags about the possible effects that the excessive consumption of these products can cause in people with diagnoses such as schizophrenia, anxiety or depression.
