Washington D.C. - When testifying at a Congress committee public hearing, the director of the Center for Puerto Rican Studies on Tuesday, Yarimar Bonilla, called on the federal government to urgently address poverty in Puerto Rico, which is linked to the colonial status and is further complicated by the lack of investment in public services.
