Even though its main piece - the radio telescope - collapsed exactly one year ago, scientific research continues at the Arecibo Observatory. While efforts to rebuild the iconic structure and make it even more powerful and sensitive are growing, it is a long-term project that requires a multimillion-dollar investment not available at this moment.
