Faced with the need to identify long-term sources of income after transferring the toll roads to Metropistas for 40 years, the Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Highways and Transportation Authority (PRHTA), Edwin González Montalvo, left the door open to the possibility of recovering revenues from taxes on petroleum derivatives, known as “la crudita”.
