The Department of Family Affairs, through the Administration for Socioeconomic Family Development (Adsef), requested that Econo Supermarkets to suspend the mechanism used by Econo To Go to process purchases with funds from Nutritional Assistance Program (NAP), because Puerto Rico does not currently have the necessary federal authorization to conduct that type of online transaction.
