Even though she acknowledged the validity of studies and claims of the neighbors of Peñuelas to oppose the disposal of coal ash and its derivatives, the director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on the Island, Carmen Guerrero, indicated yesterday that, for the time being, they have not detected an “imminent risk” to health or the environment that justifies the  interventions of the agency in the community.
