While the political delegations in the Senate fight over Joint Resolution 278, which would allocate funds to pay bondholders and other central government creditors, Judge Laura Taylor Swain granted a motion filed by an organized group of bondholders of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) to appoint a mediator and impose deadlines to end the public utility bankruptcy process this year.
