The U.S. Census Bureau revealed that Puerto Rico’s population is 5.7% lower than originally estimated

The 2020 Census overcounted the Puerto Rico population by 5.7% or 174,000 people, the US Census Bureau revealed yesterday, the number further aggravated the total population the island lost in the last two decades, which could total 700,000 people, or 18.3%, according to estimates by demographer Judith Rodríguez.
