In addition to approving a lower increase in electricity bills, the Puerto Rico Energy Bureau opened an investigation to determine whether the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) used funds intended for units maintenance to buy three MegaGens generators and whether, as a result of such expenses, neglected maintenance of generation plants.
