Starting early next year, the Ports Authority expects to get the dredging of Las Mareas Bay, off the coast of Guayama, on track with an allocation of nearly $21 million recently approved by the Financial Oversight and Management Board (FOMB) for a project that the public corporation’s executive director, Norberto Negrón Díaz, described as an “emergency” because of its implications for the country’s maritime and energy security.
