The chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee of the House of Representatives, Brett Guthrie (Kentucky), stated on Tuesday that the Republican majority has yet to find a solution to reauthorize funding for Medicaid funding for Puerto Rico—which is set to expire on October 1, 2027—and that this would create a massive fiscal shortfall in the healthcare industry.
