The absence of prosecutions for corruption in Puerto Rico throughout the first year and a half of the four-year term and the skepticism that President Donald Trump has assumed toward the fight against the illegal use of public resources does not necessarily imply that there will not be prosecutions in the near future, two former federal prosecutors stressed, at a time when complaints about alleged irregularities in agencies have reached the federal sphere.
