Contrary to what was said on October 28 by Governor Jenniffer González, the Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Office of Management and Budget (PROMB), Orlando Rivera Berrí­os, said Wednesday that the current administration “has a plan” to pay for the Nutritional Assistance Program (NAP) due to the partial U.S. government shutdown, arguing that the certified budget for this fiscal year has “specific mechanisms” to address the loss of federal funds in the face of various scenarios.
